Gift Profile
A Gift is a charitable donation. There are several different types of gifts. Some terms associated with fundraising gifts include the following: stock, soft credit, in-kind, and matching.
Gift Profile Information
The Gift Profile displays the following information:

| constituent | Displays the name of the person making the donation. Click the linked name to go to the Individual Profile. |
| fund code | Displays the code for the fund that this gift goes to. |
| purpose code | Displays the code for the purpose related to this fund. |
| campaign code | Displays the code for the campaign related to this fund. |
| appeal code | Displays the code for the appeal related to this fund. |
| package code | Displays the code for the package related to this fund. |
| anonymous? | Displays Yes or No. |
| gift type | Displays the user-selected gift type. |
| gift date | Displays the user-entered gift date. |
| gift amount |
Displays the year-to-date amount of the gift. This field can track based on the calendar year or the fiscal year. This is set in the TrackFundraisingBasedonFiscalYear system option. The default is to track by calendar year. |
| premium code | Displays the user-selected code of the premium that comes with this gift amount. |
| tax deductible amt | Displays the tax deductible amount of the gift. |
| recognition type | Displays the user-selected reason for the recognition. |
| solicitor | Displays the user-entered name of the person who asked for this gift. |
| date acknowledged | Displays the date that the gift was acknowledged. |
Gift Program Profile Actions
You can perform the following actions from the Gift Profile:
- Edit the Profile
- Donate
- Choose the person this gift is in honor of
- Transfer the Donation to a different fund
- Setup Corporate Matching
- Add Soft Credits
- Edit In-Kind Information
- Edit Stock Info
Note: You only see those buttons that apply to the current gift you are viewing. You will never see all of these buttons at once. For example, the Edit Stock Info button is only available if the gift is the stock Gift Type.
Gift Child Forms
The child forms section of the Gift Profile is divided into two tabs. Each tab contains child forms with information related to the Gift Profile.
The following tabs are available:
- Main
- Memberships
Main Tab
Use the Main tab to see various details related to this gift. The Main tab has the following child forms:
- soft credits
- accounting details
- originating gifts
- related gifts
Memberships Tab
Use the Memberships tab to see a list of memberships that resulted from a gift because the membership was a premium that came with the donation amount. The Memberships tab has the following child form: the memberships from premium child form.
